Animation Alive is operated by AnimationAlive.com, part of the Dude.com - Bro.com Network. This page explains, in plain words, what this website collects, what it sends to other services, and why. We collect very little.
Talking with the characters
- They are AI. The characters are AI characters, labelled “AI character. Not live.” No person reads or writes the answers as you chat.
- Where your messages go. When you send a question, it goes to our server and then to our trusted AI language provider, which writes the reply. When a reply is spoken in the character’s film voice, the text of that reply is sent to our trusted AI voice provider, which turns it into audio. If the voice limit is reached or the voice service is unavailable, your device’s own voice may read the reply instead. These trusted AI voice and language providers handle that text under their own terms and privacy policies.
- What we keep. We do not store your conversation on our servers. Our system keeps only daily counters (how many chats and voiced replies have been used that day), tied to a one-way hash of your connection’s IP address, so that daily limits work. To save time and cost, a spoken reply may be briefly held in Cloudflare’s cache (up to 7 days) so an identical line can be played again; it is not linked to you.
- What stays on your device. Your browser can keep a local history of your chat with each character so you can pick up where you left off, and our page sends the most recent turns back with each new message so the character remembers the conversation. You can remove this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
- Microphone. If you speak instead of typing, speech-to-text is done by your browser’s own speech service, under its provider’s policy. We do not receive your audio.
- Please do not share personal information (such as your full name, address, phone number or school) in the chat. A first name is all a character will ever ask for, and you can decline.
- Safety. Messages are checked for unkind or unsafe content. If a message sounds like someone may be in danger, the chat shows help lines (call or text 988 in the US or Canada, and a general international help-line directory) instead of a joke.
- No prayers written for you. The characters do not write or lead prayers for viewers.
What else we collect
- Launch updates list. If you sign up, we store your email address, the exact consent wording shown next to the button (and its version), the page you signed up on, the time and your country. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) and the browser’s user-agent text to stop automated abuse.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we store your name, email address, topic and message, the page, the time, your country, your browser’s user-agent text and a one-way hash of your IP address. We forward the message by email to our team so we can answer you.
- Bot protection. The forms use hidden fields, a minimum fill time and rate limits, and may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are a person. Cloudflare processes technical signals for that check under its own privacy policy.
- Your preferences. Your last choice of version (plain film or interactive), screen shape and captions setting are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs for security and reliability.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing of your email, and no user accounts.
How we use your email
Only to tell you about the launch of Animation Alive and closely related news. We will include a way to unsubscribe in any message we send. Nothing is sent automatically to the list by this website.
Deleting your data
Ask us to delete your email, or a contact message, at any time using the contact form. We will delete it within 30 days. Because we do not keep your chats, there is nothing to delete on our side; your local chat history can be cleared in your browser.
Children
Animation Alive is family friendly, and the Noah film is for everyone. Children under 13 should use the chat with a parent or carer supervising, and should not type personal information. The updates list and the contact form are for adults and teens; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if you think we have, please tell us and we will delete it.
