Animation Alive
FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

What is Animation Alive?

A new way to watch animation. You can pause an animated film, tap a character on screen and talk with them about the scene you are watching. Our first film is Noah’s Ark: The Reviews, a 97-second comedy in which the animals on the ark review the voyage and Noah answers every review. Next up: David and Goliath, coming soon. Animation Alive is operated by AnimationAlive.com, part of the Dude.com - Bro.com Network.

Is it live?

Yes, as a beta. Pause the Noah film, tap a character and ask by typing or speaking. “Live” means the character answers on the spot, out loud, with a moving mouth, and remembers what you said earlier in that chat. It does not mean a real person is on the other end: every character is an AI character, and the chat is labelled “AI character. Not live.” so you always know no human is typing. One tap takes you back to the exact frame of the film. Prefer a normal player? Choose the plain film.

Do I watch the film first?

Yes, the first time. Watch the film first, then talk to the cast: First, watch the film. Then meet the cast in the interactive version, coming up next. When the film ends, one tap on Talk to the cast opens the interactive version. In a hurry? Tap Skip to interactive under the player. After that the page opens in the interactive version, and Watch the film is always one tap away.

Is this the first time anyone has done this?

We believe we are among the first to let you talk with the characters inside an animated film, scene by scene. Character chat apps and AI video avatars already exist; what is new here is the film itself becoming the conversation.

Who are the characters, really?

They are fictional characters written for the film, and their answers are written by AI. They are never real people or real animals, they never claim to be, and they stay in the story. If you ask a character whether it is real, it will tell you it is an AI character.

What happens to my questions?

When you send a question, it goes to our AI provider, which writes the character’s reply. If the reply is spoken in the character’s film voice, the text of that reply is sent to our voice provider, which turns it into audio. We do not keep a copy of your conversation on our servers; your browser can keep the chat on your own device so you can come back to it, and you can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data. Details are on the privacy page. Please do not type personal information such as your full name, address, phone number or school.

How do you handle the Bible?

With care. When a character quotes Scripture it must be exact, and the references are given (for example Genesis 7:24). Quotations come from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is in the public domain. The comedy is about the animals and the logistics, never about God or the faith. Characters do not write or lead prayers for you; they can encourage you to pray in your own words.

Is it suitable for children?

The Noah film is family friendly, and live conversations use family-safe rules and filters: kind language, no personal details, and help lines if someone says they are in trouble. We ask parents and carers to supervise children and to be nearby when children under 13 chat. Please do not enter personal information. Children under 13 should not sign up for the updates list or use the contact form on their own.

What if someone is really struggling?

The characters are AI and cannot keep anyone safe. If a message sounds like someone may be in danger or thinking about ending their life, the chat stops being playful and shows help lines instead: call or text 988 in the US or Canada, Samaritans on 116 123 in the UK and Ireland, or findahelpline.com for other countries. If you are in danger now, call your local emergency number.

Can I watch without the interactive part?

Yes. Choose Plain film above the player for a normal video with captions, in widescreen. The first time, the film plays first and then leads you into the interactive version; after that the page opens in the interactive version. If you press Plain film, that choice is remembered on your device, and you can share either version by link.

Are there limits on how much I can chat?

Yes, there are daily limits so that everyone gets a turn and so that costs stay under control. Each visitor can have a set number of chats and voiced replies per day, and the whole site has a daily total as well. If you reach a limit, the characters politely say they are resting and ask you to come back tomorrow. If only the voice limit is reached, the replies keep coming as words on screen until the voice is back. Every voice is the character’s own; there is never a computer voice. The film itself always plays.

Will there be more films?

Yes. David and Goliath is coming soon; more Bible stories follow, then any kind of animation: adventures, history, science and stories from creators who want their characters to talk with their audience. These are plans, not promised dates.

What does it cost?

Watching and talking are free during the beta, within the daily limits above. People on the updates list hear first about anything new.

What do you do with my email?

If you join the updates list we store your email, the consent wording you saw and the time, so we can tell you about launches and nothing else. We do not sell it or share it. See the privacy page.

Can a character give me medical, legal or personal advice?

No. The characters are entertainers and storytellers, not professionals or pastors. Nothing they say is medical, legal, financial or pastoral advice. For anything important, please talk to a qualified person you trust.

How do I reach you?

Use the contact form. Choose a topic, tell us what is on your mind and we will reply by email when an answer is needed.
